On May 30th 2009, an exclusive group of talented young professionals joined together in order to promote the Asian culture within the Canadian society and to build bridges together. Whether it is their skills, knowledge or accomplishments, each of our guests is unique and is a valuable contact to have. Such classy and entertaining event permitted YCPA to find the next generation of leaders.
It is noteworthy that in less than a month after being elected, the new executives were running up against the clock to organize a sumptuous ball at the image of the elite of the Canadian society. The Ball was an opportunity for YCPA to expand its visibility and to voice their new business objective. The responses from our sponsors, our guests and our members were outstanding.
The economic turmoil did not affect at all the expected attendance. As a matter fact, the attendance rate increased of more than 30%. Tickets were sold out within two weeks! This is mainly because our guests understood the importance of building a strong network, especially during these times. All the must-have contacts in a network were reunited at the Orchid Ball: business titans, political and community leaders and an impressive number of professionals.
The Orchid Ball is a stepping stone for our 10th anniversary Ball. YCPA's main purpose is to help young Asian professionals take part in the leading society while positioning itself as a bridge to the business world in Asia. To achieve these goals, we will need your continuous support and your involvement in our organization.
One can be a talent, but without a network, talent can't grow!
